Overcoming Decision Fatigue as a Business Leader
Struggling with decision fatigue? Read this.
Hi Friends,
“Decision-making is easy when your values are clear.” – Roy Disney
As a business leader, one of your core responsibilities is making difficult business decisions. These decisions can include deciding on your next investment, mapping out a clear path for your business to achieve certain goals, and dealing with staff transit. You are likely to experience decision fatigue, especially because leaders make a lot of decisions daily.
To overcome decision fatigue as a business leader, here are four things you can do:
Understand that no two decisions are the same: In the real world, no two decisions are the same. You must recognize that each decision has unique challenges and requires tailored approaches. Doing this helps to simplify the decision-making process.
Prioritize planning ahead: Last-minute decisions rarely turn out well. Effective planning reduces last-minute stress and helps you stay focused on critical tasks.
Set the right foundation: No building exists without a foundation, and for the building to stand the test of time, the foundation must be high-quality. Invest time in building strong processes, systems, and relationships to sustain long-term success. With the right foundation in place, you are likely to reduce the number of decisions you make.
Pinpoint your biases: What are your biases? You need to be sincere to yourself when answering this question. Self-awareness allows you to address biases that may hinder clear thinking and decision-making.
Have you heard about the Inter-Church Sports Tournament yet? This special event will be held on Memorial Day, May 27, 2024. If you are in Chicago, it is a great opportunity to fellowship with other believers in the city. This year, it promises to be bigger and better, with several games for you to participate in. Some of them include soccer, basketball, chess, volleyball, ping-pong, FIFA 23, and lots more.
This is my personal invitation to attend this special event, which promises fellowship, fun, networking, and bodily exercise.
As you prepare for the Inter-Church Sports Tournament, you should also remember that PurposeFest 2024 is almost here. It comes up on August 10th, 2024, by 9:00 am (CT). This year’s theme is “The Mind Warrior.”
Pray, plan, and prepare to attend these events. I look forward to hosting you.
Much love,
Rotimi Kehinde
