Musings on Reflection and Perservance...
Hi,
It's the end of January! How did the first month of the year go for you? This week is the perfect time to take stock of the first month of 2023. Below are some questions you can ask yourself as you reflect:
What were my goals for January?
Was I able to achieve all or some of these goals?
What did I do well in January?
What can I improve?
I believe that taking stock helps us to move forward and make better decisions going forward.
As entrepreneurs or professionals, we need to set out time to reflect in order to draw lessons that would help us build better businesses or careers.
Another thing we need to keep in mind this year is building perseverance. Building a successful business requires perseverance. There are no two ways about it. Here are 3 things to help you stay persistent in the face of challenges:
Be persistent whenever your values are challenged. In life, there will always be opportunities but it is important to filter your choices through the lens of your values. What is most important to you?
Persevere through the hard times and never give up on who you are. Stand for something bigger than you. Develop yourself in secret so that when opportunities come, you won’t be shamed in public. Persist.
Stay consistent and keep delivering quality.
Here is a quote to remember:
Most of the important things in the world have been accomplished by people who have kept on trying when there seemed no help at all.
