Chicago, Are You Ready? CICSC 2026 Is Just Days Away!

Re-United In Play: Join us this Memorial Day for the 8th CICSC.

Dear Friend,

The countdown is on! In just a few days, Chicago’s Christian community will gather for one of the most anticipated events of the year: the 8th Annual Chicagoland Inter-Church Sports Tournament (CICSC 2026). This Memorial Day, we are coming together to compete, connect, celebrate, and strengthen the bonds that unite us.

This year’s theme, Re-United in Play, reminds us that sports are more than games. They are a powerful tool for building unity, discipline, and teamwork. These values resonate deeply with both faith and leadership.

Faith + Sports + Fellowship = CICSC 2026

CICSC 2026 is coming up on Memorial Day, which is in a few days. This event gives us the opportunity to mix faith with sports while enjoying fellowship with other Christians in Chicago. As the countdown continues, it is a good time to look at some lessons sports teach us as leaders. Here are three lessons that resonate with the Chicagoland Inter-Church Sports Competition, including:

  • Unity: Teams thrive when individuals work together toward a common goal. This is similar to what we will experience with the different teams participating in this year’s tournament.

  • Discipline: Training and preparation mirror the consistency required in leadership and spiritual growth. To achieve great results at the highest level, discipline is required.

  • Teamwork: Success is never achieved alone. It requires collaboration, and it is built on trust and shared vision.

CICSC 2026 goes beyond just sports; it is a celebration of fellowship, a reminder that when churches come together, we create something greater than ourselves.
